My mornings are drenched in beautiful plant essences and oils. I like to call botanicals my best bathing attendants, though they are more than that – they are my best life attendants. They satiate my skin, boost my immune, cater to my creativity, and uplift my spirit.

My family starts the morning by watching the sunrise together, drinking cool spring water, and eating a piece of Living Libations chocolate melted inside a warm blueberry and chia crepe. As we eat we like to call out all of the things we feel grateful for and celebrate everything that we appreciate in our lives.

Brushing beauty rituals… Before I begin work or take a walk in the woods, I brush my teeth with Ozonated Happy Gum Gel and Happy Gum Gel Clay Paste. Brushing is a meditation for me. I like to brush my teeth while I sit on the dock or stand at the window soaking in nature’s beauty. Brushing beauty rituals also include stimulating my scalp and managing my mane with our wood comb. Next is loving my lymph by dry brushing my body with our Energy Dry Brush made with copper bristles and a couple of drops of lymph tonic.

After breakfast, in the spring in summer when the weather is warm, we go for a swim in our lake. Then bask in the sun for a while, anointing our faces and bodies with Rose Best Skin Ever or Everybody Loves the Sunshine to prepare our skin for a busy day of work and play.

In the fall and winter when our lake freezes over or it is too cold for a swim, I take a hot morning bath. I like to dissolve a handful of magnesium flakes and a few drops of frankincense essential oil into the bath. Frankincense is one of my favorite meditation oils – it grounds my spirit and centers my mind. I wash my face with hot water and a Best Skin Ever – this morning is was Sandalwood Best Skin Ever – and then I massage in a squirt or two of Sandalwood Serum Supreme for the softest skin ever.

And so it begins.
