Award winning singer, actress and Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm is talking about her seasonal cleansing. Here is Melanie to give you a little support and inspiration to get healthy.
How many days: I generally would do 3 days at home
Why I cleanse: Every now and again I feel like I need to reset the balance, re-inspire myself to make healthier choices and I find cleansing gives me great mental clarity.
How often I cleanse: I cleanse a few times a year. I like to cleanse seasonally but it often depends on life’s demands.
Favourite juice: I have lots of favourites but always look forward to Mint Lemonade and Green Mylk.
Hardest part: Not picking when preparing my little girl’s food! Or enduring the occasional detox headache.
Favourite part of the experience: How much energy and mental clarity I have and how inspired I feel.
Secret cleansing tip: Get lots of interesting herbal teas in. They help if you feel hungry or a bit bored.
On my cleanse I spend my time: I try to keep busy. I make my exercise routine much lighter and do more yoga
Fave foods to break the cleanse with: A nice crunchy salad with peppers, avocado and lots of different textures to get my teeth into!
